Wanja Olten Deeply touched by this beautiful cello playing. A compositionally sharp focus on floating, interconnected themes. As in Mastovarra's works before, a dialectical dynamic of different lines ignites small sparks in different emotional spaces. Some encourage the light, are released, others reveal their heavier pasts after bearing and contemplating them with respect and endurance. Both are based on the search for your own language. Après la pluie is a continuation of Il pleut à l'intérieur. After some time has passed from the hardships in my life, including bed bugs found at home and fighting them, the atmosphere in Après la pluie is more serene. The terrible experiences are still in memory, but they do not require as violent expression here as in Il pleut à l'intérieur. The atmosphere is more of safety and recovery.
